Funded Projects and Grants
The Oak Grove Education Foundation contributes to larger scale school initiatives, provides mini-grants to encourage innovation, and sponsors fund-raising events that bring together the Oak Grove Community. Major Projects
Cafeteria ImprovementsPlans to renovate the Oak Grove Cafeterias are currently underway. To learn more, click here.
South Fields and Junior High Playground.Renovations were completed in the fall of 2009, featuring new playground equipment, outdoor eating areas, a jogging path, basketball courts, and more. See these exciting changes here.
Learning CenterThe newly remodeled junior high learning center is now complete. See the design and new technology here.
Mini-Grants
Hip-Hop ClassOak Grove Jr. High students participated in a physical education Hip-Hop Class which was supported by a Foundation Grant.
SPARK Science LabThe SPARK System is an all-in-one mobile device being used by a 7th grade science class.
Environmental ClubOur Environmental Club has been responsible for restoring one and a half acres of degraded woodlands.
Homework ClubWe've given our students even more opportunity to learn through our Homework Club program.
Events
The Grove Gala 2010The 2010 Grove Gala was held at the Ivanhoe Country Club on March 6, 2010. With the generous support of Oak Grove parents, families, students, staff, local businesses, and the PTO, over $35,000 was raised and will be directed toward improvements to the Elementary and Junior High Cafeterias. 68468 FundraiserThe 68468 fundraising campaign was originally launched in support of the South Fields and Junior High Playground improvements. The theme carries on as a way encouraging everyone in District 68 to contribute at least $68 per household or $68 per child for households with Oak Grove Students.
The Grove Gala 2008The 2008 Grove Gala, held at Café Pyrenees raised over $35,000 to benefit the Junior High and Learning Center upgrades. Click here for pictures and information about this community event.
