Foundation Information
Established in 2005, the Foundation Serves as a supplemental funding source for Oak Grove School District 68. Tax deductible contributions to the Foundation help fund both short and long term projects that enrich the educational experience of our students and support teacher development. The purpose of the Foundation is to provide financial support and resources for:
- Larger, long term investments required in key areas aligned with the district's top priorities.
- Mini-grants to support initiatives for new and innovative programs that enhance the regular curriculum. These are designed to encourage staff creativity, professional development, and excellence. They leverage the unique skills of the Oak Grove faculty to the benefit of the students.
Why do we need a foundation?
In recent years, many top school districts have formed foundations to provide resources for programs that go beyond core curriculum. These programs often define the difference between a good and a great school. They unite the community, corporate partners, and the school around a common purpose of making our district a better place in which to live and raise a family.
